Masaharu Morimoto is a well-known Japanese chef. He succeeded Koumei Nakamura as Iron Chef Japanese on the original Iron Chef. After the original show ended, he kicked off the first Season of Iron Chef America as a challenger along with Hiroyuki Sakai, but continued on the show after production moved to New York City, replacing Wolfgang Puck.
